Randy,

I replied to another one of your blogs, and I love to read them. They are funny, honest, and even blunt! But this poem was very sweet! As I read it, I remember back when my grandfather passed away. It was 2 days after Father’s Day in 2000. He lived with me since I was 5 when he came over from Taiwan. I’m now 33, and for the last 8 years think about him and all of the memories we made. I hope you had a great Father’s Day with your son as well. Awesome poem!

I am an elementary teacher, and you have to be a pretty sick individual to see a young child/teen as a sexual attraction. When these type of stories come out about teachers, I think to myself, “Are they really that sick and/or hard up for some sexual attention from those that probably don’t know what to do?” My coworkers and I have looked across our rooms and thought, there is no way a teacher could find one of them sexually attractive… Those are some sick, sick people…

There is a double standard for female and male predators… I think that the female predator should get the same as the male… It’s the same act whether it was instigated by the female or male.

I find that these are the only dogs that make the news,why!Is it that the people that contact the news only report this breed of dog!So don’t tell me this is the only breed doing these attacks.It’s like saying all African Americans are bad ,because thats all we hear about on the news commiting crimes,right.You were or are a news reporter right.Alot of idiots own pitbulls or any animal and these are the things we pay for.So next time you see a crack dealer or someone playing their bass music too loud,or maybe a Catholic priest,they all fondle little boys you know,RUN THE F…K OVER!!

Amen, brother!! They should be extinct!! How many children and/or adults have to die or be maimed before at the very least, the State of Texas, does something about it??!! I don’t want to hear it’s the way the owners handle the dogs that make them attach – that’s B— S—!!! These animals are natural aggressors and I don’t care what the “experts” say. The “proof is in the pudding”, so to speak!!

I ran across your blog today and I have to say ‘kudos’ to you for talking about cheerleading in Texas and especially about that whole fiasco!! Most men I know won’t say a word about cheerleading except to nudge a buddy during the game and say, “take a look at that one” or something along those lines.
I love your reporting and I look forward to seeing the E! interview.
